Errors with libertas_spi driver

Greetings.

I have been trying to set up the libertas_spi driver for the 8686 on the
cm-x270, with kernel 2.6.35.5 with no success. I have compiled it as module,
but at boot time it complains:

pxa2xx-spi pxa2xx-spi.2: registered master spi2
spi spi2.0: 13000000 Hz actual, DMA
spi spi2.0: setup mode 0, 8 bits/w, 13000000 Hz max --> 0
pxa2xx-spi pxa2xx-spi.2: registered child spi2.0
libertas_spi: Libertas SPI driver
libertas_spi spi2.0: 13000000 Hz actual, DMA
libertas_spi spi2.0: setup mode 0, 16 bits/w, 13000000 Hz max --> 0
libertas: Can't read bus mode register.
libertas_spi: probe of spi2.0 failed with error -5

And after issuing:

        ~# modprobe -r libertas_spi
        ~# modprobe libertas_spi

I get:

libertas_spi: Libertas SPI driver
gpio_request: gpio-19 (WLAN STRAP) status -16
libertas_spi: probe of spi2.0 failed with error -16

Has anyone got this kind of errors or could point me in the right direction
as how to get it fixed? I am no kernel developer, but won't mind looking
into it as much as needed. For further info, i attached my dmesg and kernel
config.
