Hi,
I'm searching an USB-WLAN-Adapter which supports 802.11s mesh networking
(finally for an embedded system).
So I have bought the xbox360 wlan module, because there is the Marvell
88W8388-BDK1 chip in it.
I have disassembled it and saw that the USB pins are directly connected
to the 88W8388, but it won't be recogniced by my pc.
Testsystem: Ubuntu 10.04, Kernel 2.6.32-23 with installed
"libertas-firmware" Package.
dmesg only says:
Jul 27 12:23:35 andi-laptop kernel: [ 2839.010070] usb 1-6: new high
speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 5
Jul 27 12:23:36 andi-laptop kernel: [ 2839.165723] usb 1-6:
configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
Could it be that microsoft have flashed an other firmware to the 88W8388
than these ones from the olpc project?
Is there any way to get it working?
Thanks, Andi
