20 byte header on SD8686 rx packets

Hi,

I'm trying to get a Wi2WI W2CBW0003 testboard (SD8686) with SDIO interface
running in a Compulab SB-X270 baseboard / CM-X270-L module.

Using a 2.6.31-rc2 kernel, 9.70.3p36 firmware from linux-firmware and
wpa_supplicant 0.6.9 I've got a system that's 75% running.  I'm hoping
someone can give me a clue as to what I've missed.

The card is detected in insertion and firmware upload etc all works.
"iwlist eth1 scan" works and shows a sensible list of access points
etc.  A network monitor on the WiFi side even shows the card transmitting
sensible packets.

The problem is that packet reception isn'tworking.  From the tcpdump output
it looks like every packet is prefixed with a 20 byte header from the chip
itself.  There seems to be code in rx.c for stripping similar headers but
it doesn't seem to be coming into play in my case.


I'll start digging, this mail is just in the hope that someone has seen
this before and can point out the step I've missed.
